Mr. Snyder has been
serving the Reynoldsville community for over 50 years. He joined the Smith
Funeral Home in 1963 where he worked as a funeral home associate. He attended
the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science and graduated on February 9, 1973.
Bernard served his internship at Burger-Gardinier in Franklin, PA earning his
Funeral Directors license in June of 1974. In 1976 Bernard bought the Smith
Funeral Home. In addition to owning the Snyder Funeral Home for the last 40
years Bernard has also been the Jefferson County Coroner for 20 years.
Carl L. Abrahamson
Abrahamson attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and graduated
in January 1994. Carl served his internship at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral
and in March of 1996 earned his Funeral Directors license. He then spent some
time working as a funeral director for Stewart Enterprise in Silver Spring MD.
From December 1996 to September 1999 Carl worked at the Pittsburgh Institute of
Mortuary Science, where he taught clinical embalming, communication skills and
general psychology. In September 1999
Carl made the move back to Reynoldsville and rejoined the Snyder Funeral Home
Patrick A. Yoha
Yoha, the newest member of our team, attended the Pittsburgh Institute of
Mortuary Science and graduated in September 2014. Following graduation he
served his internship at Hetrick-Bitner, Geigle and Smith Funeral Homes in
Harrisburg PA. After earning his Funeral Directors license in November 2015 he
joined the Snyder Funeral Home family.
